I would imagine the roasted radishes would be less starchy, and so fewer carbs. Thanks again!Lilihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13292553654219380455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4055690688282230469.post-64965580688804515812019-06-20T13:16:54.448-07:002019-06-20T13:16:54.448-07:00Hi Cheryl,

A garden is such a blessing. We get to enjoy an abundance of freshly-picked produce for a fraction of the retail cost. Enjoy yours!Lilihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13292553654219380455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4055690688282230469.post-20657806335762678232019-06-19T04:47:17.210-07:002019-06-19T04:47:17.210-07:00Here is West Michigan everything is a bit late. We enjoyed dad's strawberries and some rhubarb so far.

Did you know you can cook those radishes in place of a potato if you need a potato-like substitute for a one dish pan of roast or chicken? The red color goes away and it acts like a little potato and even tastes really good.

AliceAlicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660543650879805736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4055690688282230469.post-86046947412361839422019-06-18T18:03:59.070-07:002019-06-18T18:03:59.070-07:00I just read your side bar about feeding your famil...I just read your side bar about feeding your family for $125.00 a month. Lots of great info and wanted to mention I use mushroom soy sauce after watching a YouTube video from Tess cooks 4 u and that is what she uses. I like the flavor a lot.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03532160415343676858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4055690688282230469.post-6607834113237649312019-06-18T17:01:45.104-07:002019-06-18T17:01:45.104-07:00You got a lot for less then $5. Waiting on the raspberries. We have tons of kale and lots of peas. The next few months I will be able to reduce what I spend on produce with my garden giving me plenty. I will be using the extra money to stock up on other dry goods. And so will yours, I'm sure. It's hard, though, when summer just can't seem to get started ,and the garden grows so slowly. Asparagus sounds yummy! We have had an unusually cold and wet spring, so unfortunately, rhubarb and a tiny bit of lettuce are all we are getting in our garden. My husband has been able to snag lots of asparagus at the farmer's market, though, and we are enjoying that! Krisnoreply@blogger.com
