A Leap Month of Little Joys and Satisfactions: Coffee, Tea, and Herbs
Yesterday, I chose another easy cupboard to clean -- my tea and coffee cupboard. I have the usual tea bags, tea paraphernalia, and coffee (grounds and instant).
While cleaning, I also came across several baggies and jars of dried herbs from my garden. I now have 3 jars of dried lemon balm, 1 jar of dried peppermint, and a tiny jar of black currant leaves that I am now using for my tea. Mmm, delicious!
We are definitely on the same page. I organized our coffee and tea area last week. We had things in two different cabinets that are now consolidated into one. My husband drinks coffee regularly, so it takes up two shelves while the tea takes up one. I don't don't drink either regularly, but I like to have a variety for visitors. It's so fun to open the organized cabinet now. And it must be extra fun for you now to have the found herbs for you tea.
Good job your cabinet cleaning, Live and Learn. Even if you don't enjoy either coffee or tea, I imagine there is satisfaction in seeing the cabinet look organized. I am glad to have consolidated those dried herbs. I'll enjoy them this winter.
Hi YHF, One of the inspirations for me is knowing I'll probably find some sort of treat or something that will save me money by not buying the item again. And then, also, this time of year where I am, I don't have a lot of distractions outdoors. It's too cold to do other fun things.
