I'll be back on Wednesday

I've got a project that I'm working on, and fighting a cold at the same time. One good thing about both of those scenarios is I am not spending any money while I'm pre-occupied. I hope that your week is off to a great start!

Before I go -- a photo of something cute my daughter did for dinner tonight, mini pumpkin-shaped pizzas.

  1. I'm trying to get rid of the last of a cold. Colds, while not the end of the world, are no fun. Hope yours doesn't get you down enough that you can't concentrate on your project.

    1. Thanks, live and learn. I've been taking a ton of Vitamin C and that actually helps me recover faster. I hope your cold is about gone now, too.

  2. That pumpkin pizza is very cute. What a great idea. I think I'll do that with the granddaughters and use onion or pepperoni for the eyes and red pepper for the mouth. Thanks for sharing! And I hope you get rid of your cold quickly.

    1. Hi Jayne,
we have a local take and bake pizza place that advertises pumpkin-shaped pizzas, with pepperoni to make the facial features. They're cute, but not $12 cute. So homemade it is. I think Grace's pumpkins turned out really cute. Yours with your granddaughters will be adorable, especially with all of the extras you have for the facial features.

  3. I think we've had homemade pumpkin pizzas before, but not by design lol Very cute idea by your daughter. You've got some great kids, Lili!

Hope you will feel better soon.

    1. Ha ha, YHF! Yep, I've made some odd-shaped pizzas, too. My kids really do step up to the plate when I need them. I love them dearly!
Thanks, I'm feeling mostly better. Have a good day!

  4. Love the pumpkin pizza. Too bad I've planned soup for tonight ... but we are having some sort of sleety/snowy precipitation and I'm hungry for soup!

Hope you are feeling better. Have you ever tried zinc early on when you first catch a cold? I find it is helpful much (but not all) of the time (and I'm skeptical of alternative medicine!).

    1. Hi Kris,
Sleety/snow! For Hallowe'en week. Now that is scary! Soup was probably just right, then.
Thanks. My son swears by zinc lozenges. They hurt my tongue, but I'll try them again this winter. I have been taking lots of Vitamin C and it seems to help me get over colds faster. The most important thing for me is sleep. If I get lots of sleep I don't fall sick as much. But it's not always in my control to get lots of sleep.
