Super Easy, Garlic Cheesey Bread

This was a great accompaniment to a pot of homemade soup, this past week. Four ingredients, minimal effort, and very yummy.

1 can of biscuit dough
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4-6 tablespoons shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8 X 8-inch baking dish.

Melt butter and stir in garlic. Cut biscuits into quarters and dip into the melted butter/garlic. Place in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden.
I used Parmesan (what I had), but I think these would be delicious with cheddar -- more melty and gooey.

Serves 4.

  1. Sounds good! It's the savory version of monkey bread. :)

    1. That's exactly what it was, Kris. I think it would also be good with some herbs or diced pepperoni added.

  2. These sound good. I have all the ingredients and am planning soup when my crowd gathers over Christmas, so I think I'm going to try them. Thanks for posting Lili!

  3. That looks very good. Too bad, that we're cutting back on bread these days. We eat it, but sparingly. If I made this, the temptation would be too great to eat it in moderation.

    1. I hear you on cutting back on bread. I've been focusing on protein, fruits and veggies a lot more in recent years. I still have 3 others at home that eat more starches than I do. We all have to make choices with foods to make our bodies feel better.
