Where in the world are you from?

One of my biggest daily delights, is checking the "audience" page of stats for this blog.  I love to see that people from all over the world have come for a visit. This is exciting to me, how small our world has become with the Internet.

When I was a girl, I had a pen pal from Japan. My grandmother had met a family from Japan, that had a boy a few years older than me. She gave me his address, and he and I exchanged letters for several years. I looked forward to receiving mail from him, with great anticipation.

What I'd like to do now is to ask a favor of you. Could you please, just give your name (it can be just a first name, if you wish to remain mostly anonymous) and where you live? Just use the comment box below. This would be my chance to "meet" you, and I'm hoping as interesting to others to "meet" you, as well.

I'll try to keep this post off to the right side, so you can easily find it, if you want to see where others are from, as well. Thank you for indulging me on this.

Yours truly,
Lili Mounce
I live in Edmonds, Washington, USA (where it rains, and rains and rains!)

  1. I know, I love looking at that too! I wish it showed the individual states, though, mine's just a blob of the entire USA. I'm reading from McGuire Air Force Base in NJ!

  2. Hi Lili--

I get curious about where people are from, too! I'm from Muskegon, MI ... a twelve minute drive from Lake Michigan (it's gorgeous!) ... and in the winter it snows and snows and snows!

  3. Connecticut here, originally from Massachusetts

  4. I'm from Massachusetts, though I spent a few years of my childhood in upstate NY so I can pronounce my R's if necessary. ;)

  5. I live in a small country town -Victoria, Australia .
Few days a week I am in Melbourne (working)
My country town is 120k from Melbourne ,to far to go and come back so I keep sudio in Melbourne.

  6. I like that side of blogging too...I'm in a medium-sized market town in Wiltshire, in the South West of the UK, where it rains, and rains and rains, and then rains some more, too! Sarah

  7. Oregon, where we share your rain, rain and more rain, where that's what I woke up to this morning, pitter patter on the skylight!!

  8. Minnesota here, but been pretty much over the mid-west.

  9. Bryallen, from Cornwall, UK. Cornwall is great! It's the most south-westerly point of Britain, if you know the map. We are quite different from the rest of England though, more like the Welsh really, with our own culture and heritage. :)

  10. I'm in NC...where it it currently quite hot and no rain.

  11. Linda from Alabama, USA where it has not rained in three weeks, despite southern AL getting something like 31 inches of rain from Debby.

I am originally from Memphis, TN.

  12. Rebecca from Southern California (and I used to teach High School Geography so I too love other destinations!)
