How's life been for you?
You're doing a lot of frugal activities. Good for you and welcome back. You've been missed!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back...you are always missed! What a treat when you post!!
ReplyDeleteToday I am:
Enjoying a slower day
Savoring our simply decorated Christmas tree
Eating from the Crock-Pot..beans cooked all day with a ham bone from the freezer
Addressing Christmas cards that are gorgeous yet found at the dollar store
Staying home and not spending anything
For lunch ate vegetable soup made from our veggies we canned this summer plus leftover vegetables in the frig
Hi Lili,
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see a post from you!
Today I've been cleaning and putting away decor items to get ready for Christmas decorating!
It was a relatively warm day, so I hung sheets outside to dry. It was quite windy, though - I had to use a lot of clothespins!
We had a simple supper of baked potatoes, fried eggs, and broccoli.
Welcome back,
Jo Ann
I love this post. No fluff & straight to the point.
ReplyDeleteToday I am...
- Finally Done with a week of emergency plumbing nightmares
- Looking forward to a hot shower before bed with functioning pipes & fixtures
- Reveling in having an automatic ice maker for the first time in my life
- Grateful that my little Feral Kitty Friend came back after he got scared off by all the noise & chaos
- Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow
Are you sensing a theme?
Anyhow, good to hear from you and glad you're back and doing well.
Sounds like you are having a wonderful December day!
ReplyDeleteI’m doing some light chores around the house, intend to wrap some gifts, and spend some time drawing. All in all, a simple day for me.
so glad to hear from you. I enjoy your classy, yet frugal gift ideas!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back, Lili,
ReplyDeleteToday is Tuesday, Dec. 4 and I am:
--coming out of an allergic reaction to carpet cleaning chemicals at work.
--waiting for all the work Christmas parties this week and next.
--loving a newer vehicle we bought hubby since his was dropping body parts onto the roadway due to all the rust.
--anticipating kids coming home for Christmas.
--planning a wedding for July
--planning to use freezer food to start building my saving account after a vehicle purchase.
--getting ready for year-end processes at work.
Alice
Good to hear from you! Sounds like you are making progress on your Christmas to-do list.
ReplyDeleteYou and the inspiration you provide have been missed. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you all have been very busy, too! My sympathies for those dealing with car and home issues. Those never end, do they?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the warm welcome back. I've missed being able to write to you all.
I'm not sure if I have many classy Christmas gift ideas this year, as I did the bulk of my shopping over the past year, taking advantage of clearance sales, special one-day only sales, freebie coupons (love the Bath & Body Works freebie coupons--used them all summer getting gifts), and using rewards points that had accumulated at a couple of retailers. I also did some shopping at small businesses that are local (gotta keep the small businesses going), and made donations to applicable charitable groups for several people on my list. What I can honestly say is that everything that I bought as gifts I would love to receive myself. So, I think I did well with the gifts this year.
Today, I am decorating the house with holidays items from previous Christmases. I think you reach a point in life where you have more than enough holiday decor items. Each year, I challenge myself to use these items in new ways or in new rooms. I get the same "this is new" satisfaction by changing things up as I would receive from buying stuff.
Anyways. . . I'm glad to be back and so happy that you all are still checking in here!! Thanks friends!
Today I went to work, did errands, cooking chicken for supper and thinking I would like to do a blog post. It's time I caught up also.
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to hear from you, Lili.
