Fragranced Candle Not Burned All the Wax?

My son and daughter-in-law gave me this wonderful candle for Christmas. I used it while working out all winter and enjoyed its relaxing fragrance. Like so many jar candles, this one couldn't burn all the wax. There's about 1/4-inch of wax at the bottom of the jar. It's still delicately fragranced. And I didn't want to lose that aspect of the candle. I thought it might make a nice "sachet" for my pajama drawer.

I've got the remnant of wax in the jar set inside a drawer and am pleased that it gives just a hint of fragrance to my pjs. I'll eventually melt the wax and combine it with wax from similarly-fragranced candle remnants. But until then, it makes a nice "sachet".

  1. Getting into scented PJ's sounds like a nice way to end the day. Speaking of nice smelling things, I had one of my masks in the same bag with some wintergreen lifesavers and when I put it on, it had a light mint scent. I have to wear a mask at work the whole time and that made the chore more pleasant. It's something I do regularly now.

    1. Hi Live and Learn,
Isn't it amazing how something simple like your mask smelling like wintergreen lifesavers makes wearing it much more pleasant. That's a great idea to do this intentionally. I'll have to look around and find something similar -- maybe a candy cane from Christmas.

  2. I'm not a big candle user but I have used them before to provide a nice scent to my closets. Seems like we all have a technique for adding a pleasant scent to things!

    1. Hi Kris,
that's another great place to put a scented candle. I would think a linen closet would also be a nice place.
