Sorry to Be AWOL Last Week

If you look really close, you can see my beet sprouts.
These are from seeds I saved from a beet plant last year.
I wasn't sure if they'd sprout or not and began to think not after 3 weeks.
Then one day, they surprised me!

After Easter, I crashed and crashed hard. I was exhausted to the point that I knew I couldn't do everything that I would normally. I had to drop a couple of items from my usual list in order to put in serious effort on other agenda items. So, I'm sorry that keeping up with this blog was one of the things I had to drop for the week.

Easter is like many other significant holidays for me. Every year, I put a lot of work into pulling the entire holiday together for my family. I know many here don't "do" holidays to the extent that my family does, so I don't tend to post all that I do. Anyway, we had a wonderful Easter. I hope that you did, too!

  1. You've got to take care of yourself so you were smart to not blog for a little while. My blog is the first thing to go when I'm tired. I hope you're feeling better.

Even though many don't do as much to celebrate the holidays as you do (including me), doesn't mean that you shouldn't share if you want. People enjoy seeing the possibilities. That's why think Martha Stewart and HGTV are so popular.

    1. Hi Live and Learn,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm feeling a lot less tired now. I hope your Easter was wonderful.

  2. Good to hear from you again. I assumed it was a busy time for you and didn't think twice about whether or not you were posting. It's supposed to be fun for you to post, right? If you are too tired to have fun with it then you need a break.

The greens in my husband's cold frame are doing well. It's so nice to see progress in the garden, isn't it?

    1. Hi Kris,
I love checking the garden this time of year. Everyday seems to bring a new surprise, whether it's in the veg garden or the flowers and trees. I'm glad you husband's greens are doing well in the cold frame. I hope they are big enough soon for you all to enjoy some of them!
