We were busy here.
I put the pressure washer to good use all three days. Here's a glimpse of the brick patio when we were half done.
Here they are, one before and one after. Gives me a great big "ewww" that I even would have considered sitting in the dirty chair.
I will be tackling the deck in sections this coming week and next weekend, if the weather cooperates.
The pressure washer is a lot easier than scrubbing with brushes. But this is still a lot of work.
I'll be back tomorrow with a fresh post. Tonight, my body hurts is places I didn't know could hurt. Have a great day!
There is great satisfaction in seeing the "afters" with pressure washing. We need to do a lot of spring pressure washing, but we still have so much pollen all over everything, I'm waiting.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Live and Learn. Seeing the results makes the work worth it.
DeleteI love to pressure wash! Yesterday, we went to my son's house to help with a few things. This is his first spring there so it's the getting to know the place phase. I tackled the weeds around the house and in all his beautiful flowers. Not just flowers but rose bushes, hydrangeas, hostas and a lot more plants and flowers that come up every year. I don't know the names of half of them but the previous owner was a plant lover. I got about 3/4 of the weeding done and showed him how to pull the weeds, roots and all. I weed whacked around some decorative logs and I really like his backyard! The guys attempted to put up a fence that was taken down and got most of it done but it still needs a couple more hours of work. My own didn't need any cleanup since we did that last Saturday. It was an exhausting day. My body couldn't relax all night so I'm a bit tired today.
ReplyDeleteYou had a very busy weekend, Alice. I bet you were exhausted. And how nice to be doing this for your son. I'm sure he really appreciated your work at his house.
DeleteYour patio looks inviting, Lili. We had some unusually cold nights over the holiday weekend, which made me glad that I plant my flowers in pots, which can easily be placed in the garage. It was a quiet weekend--this upcoming weekend is high school graduation and my son's open house so I think of it as the calm before the storm. You are inspiring me to sweep off my back patio and put out the cushions today.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
DeleteI heard that weather was not great in a couple of spots in the US this weekend. I hope that the weather is fully cooperative this coming weekend. How exciting for your son. Congratulations to him and to you and your husband. Job well done! Good luck getting things together for the open house.
I feel so inspired to do better (not more ;))when I visit your blog. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Farhana! That is so kind to say.
