Quick, Free and Easy Easter Decor

The image is a free download from The Graphics Fairy. It's repro of a vintage engraving. I had the frame in my stash of stuff. I simply sized the pdf into an image that would fit the frame and printed on ordinary paper. I've displayed the framed, printed image on our piano.

If you're not familiar with The Graphics Fairy website, it is full of free and paid images to download and use in crafts and decor. There are also loads of craft ideas for using these images on the website. I am limited to what I can use, as I only have a black and white printer. But I love this one image of the bunny in the wild.

I have a couple of other ideas for making free Easter decor, using some of the images from this website. I hope to get to those in the next week.

For those of you wishing me well this past Tuesday with my dental appointment, thank you so much. This was the prep work for a crown on the other side of my mouth, This was a tooth that cracked 35 years ago and was repaired a couple of times. My dentist recommended crowning this tooth to give it more integrity in the long run. The appointment was a long, long, long one, 2 hours and 10 minutes. But I believe she did a good and careful job. I've had zero pain from this. It was stressful for me, though. I tried to keep my focus on Jesus, fixing an image of Him in my mind and praying, singing hymns in my mind and thanking Him for carrying me through this the entire time. The time passed and before I knew it, my daughter was driving me home. So, thank you for good thoughts on my behalf.

  1. Glad you're through your appointment so successfully. I love your bunny graphic photo. I love clip art for many uses. A couple of years ago, I scanned an old line drawing like that one, added text on the computer, colored parts of it with colored pencils, and framed it for a housewarming gift for my in-laws. It was very personal and well-received. Keep hanging in there, Lili! Sara

  3. I'm happy for you that your dreaded dental visit is over and you managed it well. When I'm uncomfortable with something, what helps me is imagining myself after it's over knowing this too shall pass. We are resilient and have already lived many unpleasant
    dark days.

Isn't DIY fun and satisfying? Saves money too. I heard of that free download clip art site before but have never visited. I'll check it out, thanks!! Thank you also for sharing so many of your favorite recipes, very kind and generous of you 😊 I wish I was more of a serious and experienced cook to try your delicious Lili approved recipes!!

    Have a beautiful day,
    Laura

    1. Thank you, Laura. That's a great suggestion, to imagine myself after the difficult time is over. I will be adding that to my repertoire as I deal with more tough days.

  4. I happy that your appointment went better than anticipated. I sometimes go through hymns for distraction from things. That and trying to remember the names of all of the kids in large families I have known. :) I'm looking forward to seeing what other things you make with the clip art. You definitely have a talent for making things look nice.

    1. That's another great suggestion, Live and Learn, to try to remember the names of family members from large families. That could keep me busy for a while.

  5. So glad your appointment went well and that you came up with a technique to get you through it. When I had an MRI done a few years ago, for some reason I couldn't use their headphones. I tried a few things to distract myself and ended up counting. Don't know why that worked for me, but I got through ok.

    Your picture is adorable!

    1. Hi Kris,
Thank you. I had an MRI almost 20 years ago. The technician told me to keep my eyes closed from beginning to end. I followed his advice and it went much better than if I'd opened my eyes for even a second. Counting various things in my mind would be a good way to pass the time.

  6. I know exactly what you went through. I've had about 6 crowns and as many root canals. Ugh...not only inconvenient because of the length of the appt, but expensive, too. And they can be painful, so that's great you skirted that issue! I also like to sing hymns in my head when needing to concentrate on something peaceful. Good luck with the rest of the dental process.

    1. Hi Ruthie,
The hymns did help me find some peace in the moment. Thank you with the well wishes.
